WELCOME TO EEK! SPEAK

Welcome to my blog, friends, fans and EEK! freaks. I'll call it EEK! Speak.

At the Sierra Madre, California location of my favorite horror film, Halloween II.

Here you can find news and stories about my short films, future films, writing projects, festival appearances and DJ Pervula appearances. You'll find some rants and raves, but mostly raves. I'm not one to publicly share my critiques of film, music, festivals and art, most of the time. I'm far more interested in sharing the joy and inspiration I get from the genre, art and projects from friends I want to support. I want to celebrate and not eviscerate the genre I work in.

I will rant on occasion, mostly on political issues. With my background as an activist, its inevitable that my passion will turn to writing (and making videos) on pertinent political topics of the day. I'm of the firm belief that politics inspire great art. You don't have to agree with my beliefs, or even respect them, and you can always move on to a more agreeable blog. I am not here to debate.

I also want to use this blog to share orphaned articles I've written that I could not find a home for elsewhere. I'll kick off this blog with one of these, an account of my first experience seeing Stephen King live last year. Hopefully the is the first of many encounters, as its a goal of mine to adapt Stephen King on film in the future (I will keep those passion/dream projects nameless for now). The exclusive pictures and video for this were taken by Mime After Midnight producer Tori Pulkka.

I hope everyone has fun here. And what's more fun than being scared and going EEK!?
